Introduction
Yesterday, 11th September, we started our "raid on the road", unaware of what was going to occur to us.. Hopefully we found the proper place to stay and to catch our prey.. It was devastating!! Almost ten people, obviously English, passed by without answering yes or no to my easy question -Would you like to answer a few questions? Just a few minutes! Please..- These were the worst cases.. When we were lucky they answered no at least or avoided us seeing the video-camera or listened to what the project consisted of.. and then said no..
After the eleventh attempt a whole family stopped, but they were revealed to be the hardest people to interview.. The family man made up his own questions and then answered them and didn't let me talk at all! His daughter interrupted me continuously as well and I had to fight to manage to say something..... Then we were much more lucky and we got to interview three young Chilean boys who took it very seriously. And finally a middle aged man stopped, he himself asking to be interviewed!
We might be satisfied if we forgot the beginning.. but it has been such an interesting experience and we're just looking forward to doing it again!!
